The village of Ribaritsa is one of the oldest villages in Bulgaria, famous as a mountain resort. The village is a famous mountainous resort. It is offering many tourist activities – mountaineering, skiing, hiking, hunting, etc. It is among the key departure points for hiking tours in the Teteven Balkan. The region is famous for its optimal values of air composition, which is officially certified by a Bulgarian government certificate. The complex is situated 760m above the sea level, which is also in the optimal range, according world standards. According an approved project until the end of year 2005 there will be built 3 ski-runs, which will start just nearby the complex and will end up in Shipkovo village. Forthcoming /period of 3 years – until 2008/ is performing a project of longer and bigger ski-runs, which will start from Vejen peak.
