
Primorsko has a large beach zone and as well as traditional houses, more than 80 holiday homes, summer camps for schoolchildren/students and an open-air theatre! The area is largely forested with deciduous trees and vegetation in an old oak wood arranged as a park with numerous alleys. Primorsko is situated south of Bourgas and it's famous for its 10 kilometers long sandy beach, the longest on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. This resort is known as a place which is preferred by young Bulgarians who come here and stay in the big number of rest homes, hostels, student dorms and campgrounds. Here is the so called 'International Youth Resort Center' which still attracts thousands of young people. The centre of the small town of Primorsko is urbanized but the nearby areas on the water are pleasant and virgin. There are many small cafes, discos that open all night long and cheap places to eat Accommodation is available among the high number of small family hotels and rooms in private houses. In 1998 Primorsko was awarded the prestigious Blue Flag by the Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe - recognition of the purity of the nature in its region. Ropotamo river is n the vicinity of Primorsko. Ropotamo is one of the largest Natural reserves of Bulgaria. This reserve is world famous for its rare birds and plants, which can be found only here.
